Business Analyst/Project Manager- OTC Derivatives

Role
Confluentia is currently seeking a highly motivated, self-starting business analyst who is excited at the prospect at working on projects that require analysis and coordination across multiple functions, front-to-back. The successful applicant will work on a range of high-visibility projects at major investment banks across a wide spectrum of financial products.
Responsibilities:
- Performing scoping and gap analyses
- Analyzing and documenting business requirements
- Producing detailed functional specifications
- Creating detailed project plans
- Managing ongoing communication and coordination between the business and IT
- Maintaining all stakeholders engaged in the project and focused on delivery
- Managing projects and running meetings with individuals of varying seniority and knowledge
- Designing, performing, and managing testing
- Designing, managing, and controlling the release into ‘live’ of new systems
Candidate must have:
- A bachelor's degree or higher
- 5 to 7 years’ experience as a business analyst or project manager
- Experience in capital markets
- Good overall front-to-back knowledge of the various functional groups in an investment bank
- OTC Derivative knowledge including: credit, interest rate, FX, commodities and equity derivatives.
- Excellent oral communication and people skills
- Excellent writing and documentation skills
- Familiarity with relational database concepts
Desired but not essential are:
- Excellent Business Analysis and Analytical skills.
- A consulting background
